Fri May 8 & Sat May 9 2009
St. John's Southgate Melbourne
VIC Australia
Thank you to all participants for making this another wonderful Autumn Seminar! Our new pitch products - wooden pitch staircase, alto chime bars and chime bar magnets were used to great effect in Ruth's sessions to provide improved visual support and guidance to students.

What a fabulous time we all had. Feedback was extremely positive.
Local Presenters
included Mark O'Leary, Darren Wicks, Julia Piggin, Michael Sargeant, Jenni Allen, Jennifer Gillan, Anna Mlynek-Kalman, Deborah Smith & Katie Wardrobe

Special Guest Presenters were Tim Sherlock from Brisbane who specialised in Secondary Classroom ideas and had us singing Abba songs in solfa!
Ruth Friend from Melbourne who specialised in loads of Primary Classroom ideas & methodology and Anne Williams from Melbourne who brought her talented choir students in from Eltham East Primary school. The choir sang for us and Anne demonstrated her warm up techniques and shared her musical journey through commissioning accessible choral repertoire for Primary aged choirs.

Dr John Feierabend
Music and Movement in the Early Years
Sydney Conservatorium July 2009
A superb week of intense training in developing children that are 'beatful, tuneful and artful'. John's ideas and philosophy were truly inspirational. The holistic way in which he approaches the early years and the way he bases much of how he teaches on research, made us all reconsider our methodologies and content.

We recommend this training to all involved in early childhood music education. You don't need to be a Kodaly trained teacher at all!
The next step in John's approach is the 'Conversational Solfege'. Another week long seminar.
